Bottling up Emotions - It’s becoming increasingly obvious that emotions play a far greater role in our health, or lack of health, than originally realized by mainstream science as recently announced by Harvard and the University of Rochester which was published in the Daily Mail.
It’s not the actual emotions that do the harm; it’s the suppressing of the emotions that do the harm. All of my mentors have repeatedly drummed into me over many years:
THERE IS ONLY ONE PLACE NEGATIVE EMOTIONS CAN HARM YOU AND THAT’S WHEN THEY’RE TRAPPED INSIDE YOU!
We all intuitively know this too. Painful emotions that are not dealt with are trapped inside. At some point they will spill from the mind into the body in the form of chronic illness. There is no denying that there is a body-mind connection. The longer the emotions manifest as chronic illness in the body, the more difficult and time consuming (expensive) it is to correct the condition.
In the UK this is a far greater problem than other parts of the world. I have an Italian that will never, never, ever get cancer! When he’s feeling unhappy the whole world knows all about. I find him incredibly entertaining and his fiery purging of negativity is contagious and always ends with a good laugh. He keeps nothing bottled up and this is a good thing! Some people would argue that it’s not a good thing, perhaps, because they have to listen to someone else’s complaints. This is a very shallow argument usually offered by intolerant (scared) people that have not considered the immense cost of chronic illness to a country.
Of course in the UK it’s all about keeping your pose. Appearances are everything; “stiff upper lip” and that sort of thing. This is why the NHS is groaning under the weight of so many “complex” chronic illness cases. Of course there is nothing complex about it at all. It’s all about the non- expression of emotion. Maintaining a stiff upper lip will get you killed, but not before it’s caused you a lot of pain and suffering first.
Of course, this is all academic. Once the emotions are bottled up inside, they ARE bottled up inside. The question has to be asked, how do we fix the problem? How do we release the genie from the bottle?
I have two points to make on this:
1. See an analytical hypnotherapist. There is no effect without cause. A good analytical hypnotherapist will pin point the cause and help to nullify the offending emotion. This will stop feeding the chronic illness and allow the natural immune function to do its work and heal the body. Of course, a good physician can help immensely with the situation once the emotion has been dealt with.
2. Seek the help of an analytical hypnotherapist as soon as the problem becomes apparent! Delaying will just cause the chronic illness greater chance to take hold in the body. Have the courage to deal with the problem immediately.
Worrying does nothing for you. In fact it causes you harm and damage.
Take the day off from worrying. Fill in exactly what worries you in the section provided below and hit "Submit". Your specific worry will vanish into cyber space. In seconds it will arrive on our desk and because we're professionals we'll worry for you for a full 24 hours, and we'll do it properly! You'll feel so much better!
Of course, at some stage you WILL have to face what you're worried about yourself. When you're ready, consider booking a Free Preliminary Consultation to find out how hypnotherapy can help you to take back your control.

Obviously Simon Cowell knows a thing or two about success. He hired a hypnotherapist to help Tamera Foster remember her lines while singing. I didn't know she kept forgetting her lines, but why would someone do such a thing? Well, nerves of course. When we're scared we go into "fight, flight (or freeze) mode. It's a natural thing to do and if you're physically threatened it's a good response. But it's not helpful when you're on stage in front of the world!
How does hypnotherapy help? By removing the fear. Once the fear of performing has been removed, there's no need to freeze up and get mental blocks. This allows the performer to really get into the routine and enjoy it! To come from the heart!

There is no effect without cause and when it comes to chronic illness, understanding the cause is the key to finding a cure.
Most physicians would probably agree that most of our chronic illnesses are caused by stress. Stress is just fear in disguise. The things that cause us to be afraid also cause us to worry. Holding onto negative emotions in the form of fear and worry ultimately leads to most of the chronic illness that plague our society.
The fears that we live with are not created in the future, they are created in the past. Something in the past creates a fear in us that leads to stress. More importantly it’s not the past event that makes us scared, but what we think of the event that leads to scared and stressed. If we could change the way we think about the event it would no longer be scary. As there’s no point in worrying about something that’s not scary the stress dissolves and the body’s natural immune function resumes its work to heal itself unencumbered by stress.
The trouble with this approach is that very few people can remember exactly what they are afraid of and why. Most of the events that lead to stress happen to us when we are children and as the conscious mind has a short term memory these events are soon forgotten or not linked to the stress they cause. If people are not conscious of what’s scaring them and thus stressing them, how can these events be resolved?
This is one of the reasons “regress to cause” hypnosis is so fast and effective. Using this method it’s easy to track down the specific stressors leading to chronic illness and resolve them. The subconscious mind has a long-term memory. In fact the subconscious mind has a perfect record of every sight, sound, taste, touch and smell we’ve ever experienced. Once the specific stressful events have been pinpointed it’s a simple task to resolve them and remove the associated stress.
Because the individual is no longer stressed the natural immune function is no longer impeded and it begins to work powerfully to normalize the situation. This is which is why “regress to cause” hypnotherapy is such a potent healer. It’s also the reason so many people including the world’s top athletes, celebrities and royalty are turning to hypnosis for answers.
New research links loneliness to a number of dysfunctional immune responses, suggesting that being lonely has the potential to harm overall health.
